must commence before your FAW certificate expires.
This course is designed for organisations, usually small businesses,
where there is no legal requirement for First Aiders but there is an appointed
person to take charge in case of injury or other First Aid emergency.
Fully certified First Aid personnel in larger organisations can also benefit
from the additional support from these Appointed Persons. Those who are
nominated persons or who provide support to certified First Aiders. This is
ideal for basic lifesaving First Aid and the relevant regulations.
This course provides an opportunity for First Aiders in the
workplace to practice and refresh their skills at any point during their 3 year
period as a qualified First Aider. This keeps them prepared for an emergency.
Its recommended practice to attend this course at least once during the three
year period that the First Aid at Work certificate is in effect. It is suitable
for anyone holding a current First Aid at Work certificate. The session builds
expertise and confidence by involving First Aiders in realistic situations with
simulated casualties.
